My name is Pouria, an Iranian coffee roaster with a deep passion for speciality coffee. In 2023, I began roasting on a small scale, driven by curiosity and a desire to understand what truly happens between a green coffee bean and the final cup. What started as personal experimentation gradually became something I wanted to share—and that's how Daam Roasters was born.

Today, Daam is a small-batch roasting project, run from a sample roaster in the corner of my kitchen, where every coffee is roasted with care, curiosity, and attention to detail.

What is Daam Roasters?

Founded in 2023, Daam Roasters is a small-batch speciality coffee roastery focused on carefully selected single-origin coffees. Our coffees are available for retail and are also featured as guest coffees in a growing number of cafés that share our passion for quality and craftsmanship.

The Meaning of Daam

Daam (or Dam) means a moment—a brief pause to breathe in.

For me, it represents the moments that make coffee memorable: the first aroma rising from a freshly brewed cup, the first sip that reveals its character, and the quiet pause when you begin to appreciate what's really in your cup—its flavour, texture, origin, and the people behind it.

Those moments are what Daam is built around.
